I think it’s far more likely that the US blockades Brazil in response and begins reconquest of Latin America to put the squeeze on Eurasian access to food. The plan would be in response to Chinese and Russian aggression and European abandonment of NATO to just starve Eurasia and waive our nuclear weapons at the rest of the world if they try to stop the United States.

      @mortlaursen5818 15 дней назад +24

@colmmullins valid call, but I think it runs deeper that that. If the US let Taiwan fall, what is the message to Japan, Phillipines, and the rest of SEA. They will be thinking that they are next and the US will not help. We are at the pointy end of Thucydides Trap, and the US has the choice to make a stand or be washed away into the annuals of history. I just cannot see the US giving up hegemony without a fight.

They do not go out to train if weather is too hot like 90 degree F). If China would simple do naval blockade with their navy(300+ warships including 100 sub, 100+ destroyers, 3 carrier), Taiwan would run out of supply within 1 week. In 1990s, I was asking China military people, you really think you could take back the Island of Taiwan? Their answer was no, our navy was too weak. And the Americans are guarding for Taiwan.
However, there was another way to take Taiwan back, that was to spread rumours and tell the refugees in the mainland China that there were free money to be paid out (just like America and Canada, free social securities, the government will pay you to buy a new house that kind of myths) and instantly there will be 20million refugees sailing towards the Island of Taiwan and sank the island's economy.
It was a joke at the time, but somehow we knew this could be true. That was what happened to Hong Kong when the Vietnamese people plus the mainlanders.
Fast forward to today, Taiwan is now fairly rich, no one wants to go to war. The will to fight, against your Chinese brothers are silly. As soon as the war breaks out, everyone (every parent in Taiwan) will realise they are sending their sons and daughters to die, for the Americans', then there will be a wake up call, and the war will simply stop.
Trust me on that. Only the Americans want this war to happen. Not Mainland nor island of Taiwan. There will always be some naive kids in Taiwan who did not read history. Well, that happens a lot in Hongkong too when many Hongkong chinese were waving the Union Jack and thought they are British (when the Brits call them Refugee or Aslyum seekers). Bunch of idiots who have been watching too much Hollywood.

Let us be clear, there is no taking back of Taiwan, it would be annexing Taiwan.
China has never conquered Taiwan. Even the Non Chinese Manchu only loosely controlled less than 20% of the island.
Japan is the only country that subdued the Taiwanese aboriginals and seized full control.
Let us also be clear. Taiwanese do NOT want to be ruled by the CCP.

I could be wrong but there all probably two strategies that would almost all but guarantee a defeat for China if it invades Taiwan.
    1) Western Countries make a stand: If the US and other western countries stand up to Chinas invasion the odds are it will not go as China/PLA between losses and political/economic fallout.
    2) If Taiwan and the allies are unable to hold on to the island they destroy anything and everything (like the Russians did to Germany in WWII) it will make it a hollow victory for China if after exhausting so much resources to get Taiwan they end up with just a empty piece of land that os covered with ruins. 🤔

The last time China tried to invade Taiwan in 1949, there was no international aid. China didn't make it even 1/10th of the way across the strait before they were stopped at Kinmen Island (a Taiwanese island so close to China that you can see it from China's coast). Their biggest enemy was the water, as every second a soldier spends on the water is a second where they're a sitting duck. To reach Taiwan, Chinese troops would need to travel for over 110 miles where they are completely defenseless and unable to retreat. A very difficult task for even the most powerful and advanced army in the world, and China's army is neither of those.

Well as a Taiwanese American, technically speaking the US, Japan, Philippines, Australia would be fucked if they were to lose Taiwan to the PLA. Not only would they allow the PLA to open a new trade route in the Arctic, these countries would also be facing direct confrontation with China in the Pacific. They would also be more prone to attacks from China if the PLA feels it is under threat. These are just a few problems out of many the US and allies would face in the off chance they lose Taiwan to Communism. I think the stakes are quite high here in comparison to Ukraine, where losing Ukraine to Russians wouldn’t increase military conflict since there’s NATO in place.

I think IF China goes for Taiwan, it will take a few days or weeks to take over Taiwan without interference from coalition forces.
Then, IF, the coalition forces deem Taiwan worthy of liberating after much political debate, they will have a contingency plan to retake Taiwan back.
If I was the coalition forces, I would from the gecko, commit to preventing China from overtaking Taiwan. Make "them" lose more of their men trying to take it over, than say our coalition forces trying to retake it. If the coalition forces establish a strong foothold on the strait from the gecko, it'll be harder for China and may give coalition forces a huge advantage.
But lets say they do take it over, and coalition forces don't get involved initially (besides providing weapons supplies).
    Then,
Most likely the coalition contingency plan will consist of taking back the island by establishing air superiority first, coordinating with the remaining Taiwan troops to establish an entry point for coalition troops to enter from the Eastern front. The big issue I see is coalition forces not being able to distinguish friends from foes, or having interference from China with comms to establish a network of operations and coordinate a counter-attack. China may play it dirty here.
Japan and Korea will, IF THEY PARTICIPATE, come from the North Eastern fronts while U.S. & Philippines (maybe if they choose to participate) will come from the mid-south eastern fronts simultaneously.
This retake may be much more difficult if Russia and N.K. get involved.
That'll push the S. Korean forces to revert their efforts back at their homeland due to N.K. threat and involvement, whilst trying to assist coalition forces logistically with the retake of Taiwan.
(If they deem it worth participating in).
China will have the advantage by air and sea from the western fronts from the beginning due to the close proximity to their homeland. They have the logistical advantage here.
China's long range missiles, and anti-air weapons, will be much more effective if the coalition forces try to cut China off with a retake from the Taiwan Strait.
I think Coalition forces would have more casualties if they plan a retake from the strait. That idea would be primarily to "cut" China off logistically, and assuming China already invaded Taiwan and they have troops on the ground, if the coalition forces succeed, its an easy retake. But again, High cost, high reward method there.
But I think China knows this, so the best bet is a retake Taiwan from the Eastern front where the coalition forces have ships and carriers that can provide better artillery, anti-air, and ground support.
The way I see it, maybe China might have a contingency plan that involves satellites and communication interference to prevent the coalition forces from establishing and executing a plan effectively. This will only delay a retake IMO tho...
It will be a bloody mess if it ever happens. Hopefully no war occurs man. Lets just live in peace please.
All this changes if China attacks all these asian countries simultaneously tho. But, the big advantage here is that China does not have as much fighting experience as western coalition forces do.

Ukraine uses that money to buy weapons, supplies, whatever is needed during their wartime efforts. If you want to make a point that they didn't offer enough, that's not for me to decide. Ask them lol
You say I "assumed"? I literally used conditional statements., hence the term "IF"...

They need to understand that China imports and exports too much. Their main buyer is the USA and they cannot replace that. The US buys 35% of all exports in the world. The minute you lose that consumer market, your economy is screwed and in China's case, eventually you starve. The US could blockade China's ability to feed its own people, 3000 miles away from China. They would have to come out and fight but they cannot sustain their navy past the first island chain.

The ROC and PRC are two separate entities.
PRC was formed in 1949. The ROC was officially recreated in 1951. October 1, 1949, at 3:00 pm in Tienanmen Square the formation of the Central People's Government under the leadership of the CCP, the government of the new state, was officially proclaimed. Mao declared victory to the people stating “The poor peasants have conquered the country; the poor peasants should now sit on the country.”
The PRC and a new nation was formed, The CCP created the constitution, and it did not even contain Taiwan. lol
In April 28, 1952 Article 10 of the Taipei Peace Treaty clearly declares the sovereignty of the ROC “nationals of the Republic of China shall be deemed to include all the inhabitants and former inhabitants of Taiwan (Formosa) and Penghu (the Pescadores).” Therefore the Taipei Peace Treaty declares the ROC to be All inhabitants of Taiwan but no mention of China or PRC.

BTW, pls check the constitution of PRC. Don't try to spread misleading information here.
Above that, does Taiwanese knows that ROC is "recreated" in 1952?
You refer to Taipei peace treaty, that is treaty between ROC and Japan. Doesn't define the territory of ROC. I don't know you lie on this. The territory definition is in ROC constitution, which includes both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
Please do more work, before you spread these nonsense words.

The Taipei Peace Treaty clearly declares the sovereignty of the ROC
“nationals of the Republic of China shall be deemed to include all the inhabitants and former inhabitants of Taiwan (Formosa) and Penghu (the Pescadores)."
And dont give me that constitution garbage.
When the ROC wrote their constitution in 1946 Taiwan belonged to Japan and therefore means nothing.

So just a ban on all Taiwan imports would do, no boots on ground needed.
    Dominant product:
Integrated circuits (ICs) are the main export from Taiwan to China, with a significant portion coming from companies like TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).
    Decreasing trend:
While still substantial, Taiwan's exports to China have been declining slightly in recent years due to factors like geopolitical tensions and a shift towards diversifying export markets.

Personally, I hope the Chinese people can coexist peacefully, and not fight each other, but that is up to the Chinese (PRC gov't/ROC gov't) on both sides of the TaiWan/China Strait. 📙3. THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age is the Age of Kingdom or Word brought by Christ to purify man"
Only Those Who Have Experienced God's Work Truly Believe in God
      Almighty God Says
If PEOPLE STAY in the AGE of GRACE, THEN they will NEVER be FREE from their EVIL DISPOSITIONS, much less KNOW the NATURAL DISPOSITIONS of GOD. IF PEOPLE always LIVE in the AFFORDABILITY of GRACE but DO NOT HAVE the WAY of LIFE that ALLOWS them to KNOW GOD and GIVE--SATISFACTION to GOD, then they will NEVER TRULY OBTAIN Him EVEN THOUGH they BELIEVE in Him. WHAT a pitiful form of BELIEF that is. When you FINISH READING this BOOK, when you EXPERIENCE every STEP of the WORK of GOD INCARNATION in the AGE of the KINGDOM, you will FEEL that the HOPE of many PEOPLE has FINALLY BEEN FULFILLED. 🌷🙏🔴
You will FEEL that NOW you have TRULY SEEN GOD face to face; NOW you have STANDED on GOD'S FACE, HEARD GOD'S PERSONAL SPEECH, APPRECIATED the WISDOM of GOD'S WORK and TRULY FELT how TRUE and POWERFUL GOD is. You will FEEL that you have ACHIEVED MANY THINGS that PEOPLE in the PAST TIMES HAVE NEVER SEEN or CLAIMED. 🌷🙏🌷🙏
At this TIME, you will CLEARLY SEE WHAT BELIEVING in GOD, and WHAT FOLLOWING the HEART of GOD. 🌷🙏🔥
PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU HOLD on to the VIEWS of the PAST, and WILL NOT ACCEPT or REJECT the TRUTH of the SECOND INCARNATION--MAN of GOD, THEN you WILL REMAIN TONGUELESS and NOTHING ACQUIRED, and in the END--LASTLY WILL SIN of DEFENDING GOD. Those who FOLLOW the TRUTH and SUBMIT to the WORK of GOD WILL COME UNDER the NAME of the SECOND INCARNATION--MAN GOD---the POWERFUL--over--ALL. 🙏🌷
They WILL RECEIVE PERSONAL GUIDANCE from GOD, and WILL ACHIEVE greater and HIGHER TRUTH and will RECEIVE TRUE human LIFE. 🙏
They WILL SEE a VISION that PEOPLE HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE: "And I turned to see a voice speaking unto Me. And when I turned I saw seven golden candlesticks: And in the midst of the candlesticks there was one like a son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and having his breast girded with a golden girdle. And his head and his hair were white like wool, like snow; and his eyes were like a flame of fire; And his feet were like polished brass, as refined in an iron furnace; and his voice was likesplash a lot of water. And in his right hand were seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining brightly." (Revelation 1:12-16). 🔥🙏
This VISION is the EXPRESSION of GOD'S WHOLE DISPOSITION, and such an EXPRESSION of His entire disposition is also an EXPRESSION of GOD'S WORK when He became MAN during this TIME. In the flood of punishments and judgments, the SON of MAN appreciates His NATURAL DISPOSITION by UTTERING WORDS, allowing all who receive His PUNISHMENT and JUDGMENT to SEE the TRUE FACE of the SON of MAN, a FACE already FAITHFUL DESCRIPTION of the face of the SON of MAN as SEEN by JOHN.🔥
(Of course, all of this will not be seen by those who do not accept God's work in the Age of Kingdom.) The TRUE FACE of the CANNOT be FULLY expressed CLEARLY USING MAN'S WORDS, and thus GOD USES the REVEALING of His NATUREDISPOSITION to SHOW His TRUE FACE to PEOPLE. Which means that EVERYONE WHO EXPERIENCES the NATURAL DISPOSITION of the SON of MAN has SEEN the REAL FACE of the SON of MAN, because GOD is too GREAT and CANNOT be COMPLETELY EXPRESSED CLEARLY USING human words. 🔴
Once man has experienced every step of God's work in the AGE OF THE KINGDOM, then he will KNOW the TRUE MEANING of JOHN'S words when he SPOKE OF THE SON OF MAN IN THE MIDST of the candlesticks: "And his head and his hair are white aswool white as snow; and his eyes were like a flame of fire; And his feet were like polished brass, as refined in an iron furnace; and his voice is like the rushing of many waters. And in his right hand are seven stars: and out of his mouth goeth a sharp two-edged sword: and his face is like the sun shining brightly." 🔥🙏🔥
AT THAT TIME, YOU WILL KNOW UNMIXED- This COMMON FLESH will be doubted SPEAKING so MANY WORDS is REALLY the SECOND INCARNATION--the MAN of GOD.🙏
And you will REALLY FEEL HOW BLESSED you are, and FEEL that YOURSELF is the BLESSED.🌷
Won't you be READY to RECEIVE this GRACE?
The FIRST PART of this BOOK is the WORDS of the SPIRIT to the CHURCHES. 🙏
These WORDS REPRESENT the TRANSITION from the END of the AGE of GRACE to the BEGINNING of the KINGDOM AGE, and these are the PUBLIC WITNESSES of the SPIRIT to the CHURCHES concerning the SON OF MAN. 🙏🔴
These are also the FULFILLMENTS of the WORDS in the BOOK of REVELATION that "He who has an ear, let him listen to what the Spirit says to the churches." This is the WORK GOD BEGAN in the KINGDOM AGE. The SECOND PART of this BOOK is the PERSONAL WORDS SPOKE by the SON of MAN after He OFFICIALLY REVEALED Himself.🙏
It contains a rich content of many TYPES of UTTERANCES and WORDS such as PROPHECY, the REVELATION of MYSTERIES, and the WAY OF LIFE. There are PROPHECIES for the FUTURE of the KINGDOM, REVELATIONS of the MYSTERIES of GOD'S GOVERNMENT PLAN, ANALYSIS of HUMAN NATURE, SERMONS and WARNINGS, STRICT JUDGMENTS, SINCERE words of COMFORT, CONVERSATIONS on LIFE, ADMISSION CONVERSATION, and more. 🔴🙏
In other words, what God has, what He is, and GOD'S DISPOSITION are ALL SHOWN in His ACTIONS and WORDS. of COURSE, when GOD BECAME FLESH at this TIME, His JOB was to DECLARE His DISPOSITION, MAINLY through PUNISHMENT and JUDGMENT. Using this as a FOUNDATION, He BRINGS MORE TRUTH to MAN, shows more methods of practice, and thus ACHIEVES His PURPOSE of SUBJECTING man and SAVING MAN from His EVIL DISPOSITION. This is what is BEHIND God's WORK in the Kingdom Age. 🙏🔴
Do you WANT to ENTER the NEW AGE? Do YOU WANT to REMOVE BAD DISPOSITIONS from YOURSELF? Do you want to ATTAIN a HIGHER REALITY? Do YOU WANT to SEE the REAL FACE of thr SON of MAN? Do YOU WANT to LIVE a LIFE of USEFULNESS? Do0 YOU WANT to be MADE PERFECT by GOD? If so, HOW will you WELCOME JESUS' RETURN? 🙏
      ⬇️
      The recorded prophecy is below!
      ⬇️
      The fulfillment of Juan's VISION
(Rev. 1:12-16 "A Vision of Christ")
"And I turned to see a voice speaking unto Me. And when I turned I saw seven golden candlesticks: And in the midst of the candlesticks there was one like a son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and having his breast girded with a golden girdle. China under the CCP mismanagement of it's economy is one for Taiwan's best attributes for it's defense. The real estate collapse las an empty apartment for every person, man woman and child in that country. All the banks are insolvent. Every "stimulus" by the CCP is met by a brief stock market rally followed by and further decline deeper that before. The economy is collapsing. Youth unemployment is at least 59%. The attitude of hopelessness among the youth is charactered by the phrase of ;lie flat' do as little as possible to 'let it die'.

Irrespective of whether Taiwan is considered a country or not does not automatically cede the sovereignty to China.
The fact is that there are no internationally recognized treaties, policies or UN resolutions that state that Taiwan is part of China. In fact, Taiwan was not even included into the PRC constitution until 1978.

    • @brianawhite1796
      @brianawhite1796 27 дней назад

@@ResearchFirst-z7j Taiwan is a part of China for a lot of reasons, but I'll give you 3. Number 1: Taiwan and Mainland China are the Inheritance of Qing Dynasty, whether Communists or Non-communists run Mainland China and Taiwan, it's a part of China(whether it's communist or not). Number 2: Taiwan is not a name of the country, but a name of the place. Republic of China is the name of Taiwan, and there is the word "China" in it. So it's part of China, or it's China. The problem of Taiwan and Mainland China is not about whether Taiwan is a part of China( because it is), but rather who runs the whole China(Mainland China + Taiwan). The Republic of China lost in the Civil War, they should merge with Mainland China(ruled by the Communists). Number 3: People who are living in Taiwan all come from Mainland China, and they are about 20 millions of them, then WTH the land of All Chinese should be decided by only 20 millions Chinese people in Taiwan but not 1.4 billion Chinese in Mainland China? Taiwan or Mainland China are the lands of current Chinese's ancestors and all Chinese(regardless they are living in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan) should have the say and right to say in it, not just a few 20 millions people in Taiwan.
No internally treaties recognize Taiwan is a part of China? Do Chinese people in Mainland China need a treaty to claim their homeland of their ancestors? You do know International Treaties are for the benefits of the Winners of WW2, right? And since China was not USA, USSR, Britan, and they were conquered by the Imperial Japanese, who cares about their territorial integrity? But that does not mean Taiwan is not them. The problem with Taiwan nowadays is Taiwanese Politicians trying to get votes by creating dramas to push normal citizens to unnecessary wars with their blood brothers and sisters. That's all. It's not about democracy, just pure greed of power by the politicians.

@@brianawhite1796 That is a lovely Anglo Saxon name Brian White. How funny. Lol
The fact is that there are no internationally recognized treaties, policies or UN resolutions that state that Taiwan is part of China and you are going to have to try much harder to prove otherwise. ha ha ha
1: You claim that China is the inheritance of the Manchurian Qing Dynasty who were not even Chinese. Lol What a joke.
Please show me where the Manchurians transferred their conquered lands to the PRC. Prove it
2: In terms of Taiwan, the Manchurians never conquered Taiwan and only loosely controlled less than 20% of Taiwan. therefore there was nothing to inherit. LOL
The Qing annexed Taiwan in 1683 but only controlled the western plains, with their authority limited to the “Niu line,” a boundary separating the lowlands from the mountainous interior. Beyond this line, Indigenous peoples maintained control over most of the island. While the Qing made small expansions beyond the Niu line, their reach remained minimal. Han and Hakka settlers frequently clashed over land and resources, fueled by rivalries from Fujian. Limited resources and weak administration further reduced Qing control.
Japan was the first country to subdue the Taiwanese aboriginals and seize control of Taiwan.
      Your funny. lol
3: The Republic of China is not China and has not been since 1971.
Tell me why there is a country called Guinea, another called Papua New Guinea, another called Guinea Bissau and another called Equatorial Guinea????? Are they all the same country??
      I can't stop laughing. lol
4: In terms of the civil war. During the civil war Taiwan was part of Japan. The civil war was never over Taiwan.
In fact, Taiwan was not even added to the PRC constitution until 1978? This is hilarious.
The 1978 PRC Constitution was the first Constitution in the PRC to touch explicitly on the political status of Taiwan. It said that "Taiwan is part of China" and said that the PRC "must liberate Taiwan, and finish the great task of reunifying the motherland".
However, in 1979, the PRC dropped the liberation stance and opted for peaceful reunification instead.
The 1982 Constitution mentioned that "Taiwan is a sacred part of the territory of the People's Republic of China" instead of just "China".
The fact is the war was never over Taiwan and during the civil war the island legally belonged to Japan not China.
Once Mao died the PRC constitution was amended to state that Taiwan was part of China,
Sorry I am still laughing. lol
5: Yes, the PRC will need a treaty to claim Taiwan as it has never been controlled by the PRC or China.
As I told you there are no internationally recognized treaties, policies, agreements or UN resolutions that declare that Taiwan is part of China and you cannot prove otherwise. Lol
When Japan relinquished its sovereignty of Taiwan with The Treaty of San Francisco after the ROC invaded the Japanese island, China was not even invited. The treaty was signed by 49 nations including the Soviet Union but the CCP were NOT present.
      I am crying with laughter.
6: Yes, I agree with you, its ALL about greed and power of the CCP.
Historically the CCP recognized Formosan independence. In 1936, when the Republic of China (ROC) was China’s government and Taiwan (Formosa) was a Japanese colony, Chairman Mao Zedong offered support to Korea and Formosa if their peoples wished to gain independence from Japan. Mao’s internationalist position suggested that 1) both Korea and Formosa have a right to independence, and 2) this is based on the right to self-determination. Mao did not claim that Taiwan has been an integral part of China for centuries, as insisted by the Chinese government today. Interview with Mao in 1936
An interview sourced from the Marxist Archive demonstrates this.
Interviewer EDGAR SNOW: “Is it the immediate task of the Chinese people to regain all the territories lost to Japan, or only to drive Japan from North China, and all Chinese territory above the Great Wall? “
MAO: “It is the immediate task of China to regain all our lost territories, not merely to defend our sovereignty below the Great Wall. This means that Manchuria must be regained. We do not, however, include Korea, formerly a Chinese colony, but when we have re-established the independence of the lost territories of China, and if the Koreans wish to break away from the chains of Japanese imperialism, we will extend them our enthusiastic help in their struggle for independence. The same thing applies to Formosa.”
      Source: Marxists Internet Archive
You are so funny and thank you for the laughter.
if you want to learn more truths about Taiwan please feel free to let me know. lol
      Have a great day.
